About Senator Connie Johnson
Connie Johnson served in the Oklahoma State Senate representing District 48 in Oklahoma City. She was the first African American woman elected to the Oklahoma State Senate and has been a trailblazer throughout her career. She authored Oklahoma's first medical marijuana legislation, led criminal justice reform efforts, and has consistently fought for the rights of working Oklahomans.
Born and raised in Oklahoma, Connie grew up in a family shaped by military service — six of her uncles served this country. She understands sacrifice, community, and what it means to fight for something bigger than yourself.
